Bid the Blind Solo, and say it as your very first word. Count the hand: the Skus, the XXI, the XX, the XIX and the XVI are big Taroks at 2 each, 10; the XIII adds 1; the two Kings add 2: a 12-count of 13, past the Blind Solo’s bar of 12, counted before the six blind cards arrive. If you win, you add 5 Victory Points; if you fail, each Defender adds 10 Victory Points; the plain Call pays 1 Victory Point. The Blind Solo is a bid only as the Forehand’s first word, and it ends the bidding. If you open with anything else, you can no longer bid it.
